Meta-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp is set to release a new user interface for Android users. According to a report from WABetaInfo, the new UI is already rolling out to beta testers. WhatsApp Beta for Android gets new UI

The new WhatsApp UI is rolling out for Android beta 2.23.21.12. As seen in the image shared by the WhatsApp update tracker, it aligns with the new Material Design 3 schemes. Instead of having the menu bar at the top, WhatsApp redesigned for Android has the menu bar at the top. bottom of the screen, where it is currently available in the iOS version of the app.

New UI for WhatsApp Android Beta via WABetaInfo

The WhatsApp group chat icon and in-app logo (with a new font) appear to have adopted a new shade of green. The chat bubbles and action buttons also look polished. In light mode, the app has a white background, while in dark mode, the new UI applies a dark shade of gray.

The new user interface has a minimal look

While the image doesn’t show what personal chats or users’ profile pictures will look like in the home section, it does contain an idea of ​​how group chats will look, and there aren’t many change there. Additionally, the redesign gives the app a minimal look, but the fundamentals remain the same.
