Lava has launched an affordable 5G smartphone in the country. The Lava Blaze 5G comes in three colors, two storage variants, a 90Hz display, and runs Android 13 out of the box. Here’s everything you need to know about the new Lava Blaze 5G: its design, specifications, price, and availability.
Lava Blaze 5G Design
Regarding the design, the smartphone is available in three minimal colors, including Glass Black, Glass Blue and Glass Lavendar. At first glance, the shades appear different from those typically available at the phone’s price point.
On the front, the smartphone has a central punch-hole display and almost symmetrical bezels on the top and two sides, but there is a visible chin at the bottom. The right edge houses the volume rockers and power button (which doubles as a fingerprint scanner), while the left edge is clean.
At the bottom, the phone has its USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack for listening to audio and answering phone calls via a wired headset. The rear panel features a circular camera module, which has two camera sensors and an LED flash. In the lower left corner is the Lava brand.
Lava Blaze 5G Specifications
The Lava Blaze 5G comes with a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD curved display. It also supports up to 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the smartphone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6020, an octa-core SoC based on 7nm manufacturing technology. The processor includes two 2.2 GHz cores and six 2 GHz cores, along with the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
Besides the entry-level processor, the phone offers 4GB or 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM. These models offer 64 GB and 128 GB of storage respectively. The storage, however, is expandable up to 1 TB using a microSD card. As mentioned earlier, the phone runs Android 13 out of the box. The company also promises an upgrade to Android 14 and two years of security updates.
On the rear panel, the Lava Blaze 5G has a 50 MP primary sensor with a 0.08 MP VGA sensor, while on the front, users get an 8 MP selfie shooter. The smartphone is powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports up to 18W wired charging. Regarding connectivity, users get 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5 .1 and GPS.

The 4/64 GB variant of the smartphone costs Rs. 9,999. 9,999, while the 6/128 GB variant costs Rs. 9,999. 10,999. Lava Blaze 5G will be available on popular online shopping platform Amazon and other retail outlets from November 9, 2023.
