Widespread new Pixel 8 and 8 Pro battery drain issue will give Google fans deja vu،
For a lot of people, whether they’re die-hard Google fans unwilling to spend a small fortune on the new Pixel 8 Pro flagship or just Android enthusiasts looking to find the perfect balance between power and price affordable, the “vanilla” Pixel 8 may seem like the best phone money can buy this holiday season.
But while it’s clear that the search giant behind the world’s most popular mobile operating system has come a long way in hardware manufacturing since the early days of the Pixel family (not to mention the Nexus), it seems that some old habits are dying hard and some problems are here to stay for another year.

Pixel 8 and 8 Pro are going through a similar situation for many users this year, just like the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro did in 2022 despite replacing the aforementioned key component of their predecessors with a newer one.
What is going on?
If the autonomy of the latest (and still, certainly the best) home handsets from Big G is perfectly acceptable (at a minimum) when said devices are used exclusively over Wi-Fi, the transition to a 4G LTE and especially 5G connection changes everything. .

It goes without saying that many users struggle to get a total battery life of 12 or 14 hours on their new phone under these conditions, which makes life (and especially work life) rather difficult for many. Device overheating appears to be another (smaller) issue potentially caused by the Pixel 8 and
Pixel 8 Pro’s modem, as well as mobile connectivity issues that are, however, impossible to blame solely on one phone (or two). if we also consider the notorious volatility of the

Unfortunately, not much, at least from what we know at the time of writing. Given that everyone suspects the culprit is a hardware component… which has caused similar problems before, providing a software fix could prove to be a mission worthy of a new Tom Cruise movie.
