Iqoo India CEO Nipun Maurya announced November 1, 2023 as the launch date for the iQoo 12 series. The company will unveil its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 powered flagship on December 12, 2023. In China, the smartphone will debut on November 7, 2023, more than a month before it arrives in India. However, this is a trend among manufacturers like Vivo, Honor, Realme and iQoo. OnePlus, on the other hand, is trying to prioritize the global launch as well as the launch in the company’s native market. Nevertheless, iQoo 12 is a promising smartphone, especially for users who prefer the Android ecosystem and love gaming.
iQoo 12 specs leaked
The Vanilla iQoo 12 is said to come with a BOE OLED display with 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate and could support up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness. It also supports 2,160Hz PWM dimming. On the other hand, the iQoo 12 Pro is expected to arrive with a Samsung E7 display with 2K resolution, support for 144Hz refresh rate, and brightness maximum of 2700 nits. It also offers 1,440 Hz PWM dimming.
While the iQoo 12 could come with an IP64 rating, the iQoo 12 Pro could have an IP68 rating. Apart from this, both phones are said to feature a 50 MP primary sensor, a 50 MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 64 MP telephoto lens with up to three times optical zoom. Additionally, the standard version could feature a 5,100mAh battery with support for 120W wired charging, while the Pro version is expected to feature a 5,000mAh battery with similar charging speeds.
