WhatsApp Users Can Now Initiate Group Video Calls With More Participants،

Meta-owned instant messaging platform WhatsApp has launched a new update on iOS. The update comes with a new feature that increases the maximum number of video call participants that can join from the start. As WhatsApp adoption increases among people from all walks of life, it becomes important to start a video call with a larger group, which the new feature unlocks.

WhatsApp makes it easier to start group video calls

With WhatsApp for iOS version 23.21.72, users can add up to 31 other participants to a video call from the start. Previously, users could only add 15 people when initiating the call and manually add more at the start of the call. Although the feature is not mentioned in the update’s changelog, tracker of popular WhatsApp updates and features, WABetaInfo, said that it was part of the latest update on the App Store.

It is important to mention that the new update might not be available to all users at the same time. WhatsApp’s features often take time to reach all users, and that’s natural, given that the platform has billions of users worldwide. At the time of writing this article, Smartprix was unable to obtain version 23.22.79. Instead, Apple’s App Store still shows version 23.21.79 as the latest update, released during the fourth week of October.

Most recently, WhatsApp released the multi-account login feature and the AI sticker creation feature. If you don’t have access, check to see if the App Store has a WhatsApp update.
