Ten years ago, the idea that you could fold your phone screen in half probably sounded like science fiction. And yet, here we are. The market for foldable products is growing – not as fast as many would have hoped – but more and more companies are getting into it.

OnePlus was the latest to hop on this train with the OnePlus Open, and after trying it, we deemed it worth the fight against the Galaxy Z Fold line. We also have very strong collapsible starters from the Far East.

Huawei, Honor, and Oppo are all racing to deliver the best foldable phone experience, pushing innovation in the field. Some of these Chinese foldables are as thin as a normal bar phone, and they sport the same big batteries and powerful cameras as their non-foldable counterparts.

What about small tablets, then? Most foldable phones are pushing back the 8-inch threshold and getting dangerously close to the most popular tablet size, the 10-inch. There’s one big advantage that tablets still have, and that’s price.

You can get a good 10-inch tablet for a fraction of the price of one foldable phone. We don’t know if this will change, although foldable phones become common. What do you think about it?
