Here’s Everything Apple Could Launch At The Scary Fast Event،

Apple is all set to host the Scary Fast event on October 31 at 5:30 AM IST. Although this is an online-only presentation, people around the world can watch it live on the company’s official social media channels. At the event, Apple is expected to unveil next-generation models of its most popular chipsets and computers, including the M series, MacBooks and iMac.

New chipsets, MacBook and iMac

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple will “update a device that will soon celebrate its 40th anniversary: the Mac.” At the Scary Fast event, enthusiasts and fans should expect to see new MacBook Pros and iMacs powered by the company’s new M3 chipset based on 3nm manufacturing technology. These chipsets are expected to significantly improve over the M2 chips released last year, both in terms of performance and power efficiency. However, laptops and desktops won’t get a new design.

Expect three tiers of the new M3 chipset

At the Scary Fast event, the company could reveal three tiers of its new M3 chipsets. These include the Vanilla M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max. The M3 chipset could feature eight processing cores, including four performance-focused cores and four efficiency cores, as well as a 10-core graphics processing unit. Then there’s the M3 Pro, which starts with 12 processing cores and 18 graphics cores.

As we saw with the M2 Pro, the M3 Pro should also be configurable with up to 14 processing cores and 30 graphics cores. The most powerful silicon in the lineup, M3 Max, is expected to offer up to 16 main cores and 40 graphics cores. Apple could include the M3 Pro and M3 Max chipsets in the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models.

High-end M3 chips will power new MacBook Pros

The Bloomberg report mentions that two new MacBook Pros, codenamed J514 and J516, could be launched at the event. Even though the exterior and overall form factor of the laptops are expected to be the same, the new chipsets are expected to improve the overall performance and, more importantly, the battery life of the models.

We could also see a new 24-inch iMac

New iMac with M3 chipset

Besides the new MacBooks with M3 chips, Apple could also unveil a new 24-inch iMac with the base M3 chip. The report mentions that the code names of the new models are J433 and J434. These could also include a revamped stand.

Besides the products that will be released at the event, some may not be present. For example, the company is reportedly working on a low-end MacBook Pro (J504) with the M3 chip, but that won’t show up. Additionally, new MacBook Air models with 13- and 15-inch displays powered by the M3 chip will not participate in the upcoming Apple event. Finally, Apple doesn’t plan to unveil new iPads and AirPods until next year.
