OnePlus silently equipped Open with a feature Fold 5 users wish they had،

Compared to conventional phones, the OnePlus Open is an expensive device, but what matters more is that it is more affordable than the Google Pixel Fold and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. Although it is cheaper, its Specs are comparable to the Fold 5, and as one user discovered, it even supports the stylus accessory.

The settings menu mentions “Stylus,” and that’s no coincidence. Reddit user Rashed341 discovered that the OPPO Pen, an accessory originally designed for the OPPO Find N2, the spiritual predecessor of the OnePlus Open — works with OnePlus’ foldable phone.

Several people have asked me if the OnePlus Open has stylus support. They pointed out that there is a Pen page in Settings.

Mishaal Rahman says the OPPO Stylus works with the Find N3, so it’s no surprise that it’s also compatible with the OnePlus Opengiven that they are essentially the same phones.

THE OnePlus Open is powered by the same chip as the Fold 5, has slightly larger screens, an impressive camera system, and a larger battery capacity with support for faster charging. Although the Fold 5 also supports pen input, the S Pen only works on the inner screen.

The OPPO Pen is also capable of other features, like taking a screenshot when its button is double-tapped.

THE OnePlus Open doesn’t support wireless charging or offer the same water protection as the Fold 5, but a starting price of $1,699 makes it $100 more affordable than the Fold 5.

Since OPPO doesn’t have a presence in the US, getting the stylus won’t be easy, but it’s good to know the option exists.
