Walmart has the hot new Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones on sale at an incredible discount،
While it’s certainly not uncommon to see expensive new smartphones and tablets get nice little discounts and freebies right off the bat, major US retailers tend to be much less generous when it comes to headphones, and in particular high-end headphones.
So you can imagine our surprise when we opened Walmart’s website earlier today and noticed that the Bose QuietComfort Ultra over-ears are priced at just $269.44 in a black colorway. The “white smoke” flavor still costs $429, mind you, which only further highlights the incredible appeal of this surprisingly early $159.56 reduction.
After all, the aforementioned noise-canceling Bose 700s, which were initially priced at $399 a pair, took about two years (!!!) to fall below $300, recently dropping to $269, then down to $259 . So, yes, this is clearly a very unusual discount for a new beast equipped with a spatial audio system with up to 24 hours of battery life, cutting-edge CustomTune technology for personalized sound and, of course, the typical Bose “world”. A promise of “class noise suppression”, which almost always proves accurate in real-world environments and use cases.
