Samsung exec confirms satellite connectivity on upcoming Galaxy S24 Series،

Top Samsung executives express confidence in the upcoming Exynos 2400 SoC, proving once again that we will see more of these chipsets. It turns out that the Samsung Galaxy S24 series is also expected to feature two-way satellite connectivity.

Samsung Galaxy S24 series will get satellite connectivity

Park Yong-in – CEO of Samsung’s System LSI has confirmed that the South Korean giant will support satellite connectivity starting next year. This could be a reference to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 series which is expected to arrive early next year.

Apple rolled out satellite connectivity last year with the iPhone 14 series and the feature has since been in various stages of adoption by other OEMs. Samsung also showed off its two-way satellite connectivity feature for emergency services and it looks like the Galaxy S24 series will be the first to go live next year.

There aren’t many details available about the feature either. It works both ways, allowing users to communicate with first responders, possibly via text (it could also have calling capabilities) in a two-way manner.

It remains to be seen if the satellite connectivity feature is available for the entire Galaxy S24 series. That’s because there’s an ongoing concoction of chipsets to use on the trio – S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra. It turns out that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will be the only model to get a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC in all markets, while the vanilla S24 and S24+ will have either an Exynos 2400 SoC or a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC depending on the model. where you buy it.

Samsung is confident in the Exynos 2400 SoC, especially after the Exynos 2200 failed to perform as a flagship chipset. In fact, the Exynos 2500 SoC, arriving later next year, is expected to outperform TSMC’s 3nm process. It will likely power the Galaxy S25 series, although that also remains to be seen.
