Apple Is Working On Two AirPods (4th Generation) Models: Mark Gurman،
After releasing the iPhone 15 in September 2023, Cupertino-based tech giant Apple plans to revamp the AirPods lineup. Currently, Apple sells four iterations of AirPods, including AirPods (2nd generation), AriPods (3rd generation), AirPods Pro (2nd generation with USB-C port), and over-ear AirPods Max. However, according to one of the most reliable industry sources, the company could launch a redesign of all models starting next year.
Fourth-generation AirPods will bring significant changes
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, we should expect an “end-to-end overhaul” of the AirPods line, which currently includes four models. Citing people familiar with the matter, Gurman writes that the company will launch a new version of the entry-level headphones (second and third generation) in 2024 and another for the Pro model in 2025. Additionally, Apple will update the products . ” the design of the earbuds, the appearance of the cases and, the most crucial part, the audio quality. The top model will feature noise cancellation
In 2024, the company plans to replace the entry-level AirPods (2nd generation) and AirPods (3rd generation) with “two fourth-generation versions.” Even though these models will be priced similar to current offerings, they will be better “differentiated”. Both models will feature a new design inspired by the current AirPods Pro and third generation. They will have short stems.
Both fourth-generation models will include a USB-C charging port. However, regarding the differentiation part, Apple will offer noise cancellation in the high-end version, which is also expected to receive a new charging case with Find My speakers.
AirPods Max with USB-C charging port will arrive in 2024
Apple is also working on redesigning AirPods Max. The new model, expected to be released late next year, will feature a USB-C charging port and fresh colors. Finally, the Pro earbuds will get a new design and processor, but that won’t happen until 2025. Gurman also notes that they could come with hearing-related health features. Previously, we’ve also heard about fitness tracking features on the earbuds, and it would be great to see them on the new AirPods Pro.

Therefore, Apple will be very careful about the changes it makes.
