iOS 17.1 arrives fixing SAR values & display ghosting issues،

Today, Cupertino giant Apple released iOS 17.1, iPadOS 17.1, and watchOS 10.1 to all supported devices, available through a manual search on their devices. The update arrives a day before its rumored rollout date. It brings the functionality to transfer large files via AirDrop over the internet in case the recipient is not in the AirDrop range, yes that’s what IOS 17.1 is all about.

Speaking of iOS 17.1, the update added the ability to include options like playlists, albums, favorite songs, and suggestions on the Apple Music app. High iPhone 12 SAR values reported in France have also been corrected with the latest update.

Remember the ghosting issue reported on iPhones? Referred to as a display image persistence issue, it has also been fixed in this release. As previously reported, Apple fixed the bug that caused important location settings to be reset when you tried to pair or transfer the Apple Watch for the first time.

Several bug fixes and improvements are available with iOS 17.1 in place. For example, iPadOS 17.1 now supports the Apple Pencil USB-C, which was announced last week.

Next, we provide features for Apple Watch users. With watchOS 10.1, Apple introduced the Double Tap gesture to the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Apple Watch Series 9. This gesture can be used for a multitude of things such as answering calls, stopping timers, playing or putting pause music, and supports various other functions on supported apps.

A feature called NameDrop now lets you exchange contacts with other Apple Watch users simply by bringing their watch closer to the paired iPhone running iOS 17 (and above). The feature is available on Apple Watch Series 7 and later. Apple also fixed a bug that caused the climate section of the Apple Watch home app to be blank. Another bug that would show the scrollbar on the screen was also fixed with the update.
