MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 Breaks AnTuTu Records،
MediaTеk’s Dimеnsity 9300 recently set a new AnTuTu benchmark record, scoring over 2 million points. This feat puts it head-to-head with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 rival, which is also expected to score around 2 million points in the same test. Simply put, according to these AnTuTu benchmarks, the Dimеnsity 9300 could be the most powerful mobile chip currently.
Dimеnsity 9300 is MediaTek’s high-end chip for the next generation of high-end smartphones in 2024. It features an eight-core processor with four Cortex-X4 cores, four Cortex-A720 cores and a Mali-G715 MC12 GPU built on 4nm from TSMC. technology. The chipset combines 512 GB of storage, 16 GB of RAM and the Android 14 operating system for the test bench.
In total, the chipset offers 65% higher CPU performance, 55% higher GPU performance, 33% faster UFS 4.0, and LPDDR5X RAM compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
Additionally, the Dimеnsity 9300 has significantly improved over its predecessor, the Dimеnsity 9200, which scored around 1.2 million points in AnTuTu. It also beats the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2’s expected score by around 1.7 million points. Note that these chipsets are usually tested on prototypes and it is possible that scores will improve once the chips become commercially available.
In comparison with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
In terms of AnTuTu performance, the Dimеnsity 9300 now outperforms the yet-to-be-released Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. However, keep in mind that AnTuTu scores don’t tell the whole story. Actual performance is determined by factors like software optimization and the phone’s ability to handle heat.
In a nutshell, the Dimensity 9300’s AnTuTu score is a testament to MediaTek’s commitment to innovation, elevating them to the forefront of the mobile chipset. We’ll have to wait and see how it performs in practice, as well as how it compares to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and other flagship chips in 2024.
Note that the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC is also awaiting launch and the scores are unlikely to change much unless an impressive cooling system is attached to bring down the current records.
