Mysterious Issue Shuts Down iPhones At Night

New iPhones are often affected by a few bugs, just like new iOS versions. We’ve heard before about new iPhones facing overheating and battery issues, but this one is a little different. Some users are reporting a rather new issue with the iPhone 15 series. Apparently, iPhones are turning off and on at night, causing users to miss their morning alarms.

iPhone alarms not going off

According to a report from MacRumors, a Reddit user (u/Theblobsnark) is complaining that two iPhone alarms didn’t go off because the phone went off at night. What is interesting is this other. Other users also corroborated the issue, explaining that their iPhone alarms were not going off at the expected time.

It turns out that some issues could be linked to iPhones turning off in mysterious circumstances. Other owners also explained that they had to enter their iPhone passcode in the morning, which happens when you restart an iPhone.

Earlier this week, 9To5Mac also highlighted the issue. The folks at MacRumors are also experiencing the issue, mentioning that an iPhone 15 Pro Max with iOS 17.0.3 rebooted on October 10, around 01:00 CET. The issue, experienced by many iPhone 15 owners running iOS 17, has also been reported on other iPhone models, like the iPhone 13 mini.

To check if an iPhone has restarted, users opened Settings, accessed the battery, and checked the charging status over the last 24 hours. Although Apple has yet to acknowledge this issue, it seems problematic, especially for those who rely on their iPhone for morning alarms.
