PS5 Cloud Streaming To Offer 4K Resolution 

The PlayStation 5 cloud streaming service is coming to Japan, Europe and North America this month. The service provides cloud streaming access to supported PS5 digital titles from the PS Plus game catalog and those owned by PlayStation Plus Premium members. In other words, it will allow users to stream video games without installing them on their console, thereby saving disk space.

The cloud streaming service will allow users to access the best PS5 hits from the PlayStation Plus game catalog, such as Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Horizon Forbidden West, Saints Row IV, Mortal Kombat 11, and more. It will also allow players to try out the PS5. games like Hogwarts Legacy, The Witcher 3, and more. At launch, the titles available for streaming will be limited, but PlayStation has promised to add many more games in the future.

For streaming, gamers have multiple resolution options, including 4K, 1440p, 1080p, and 720p, with an option for 60 frames per second. You can stream a game in standard dynamic range (SDR) and high dynamic range (HDR). Other benefits include 5.1 and 7.1 audio capability to capture screenshots and record up to three minutes of video. PS5 Cloud Streaming also offers downloadable content and in-game purchases.

The official press release mentions that the service is already available in several regions, including Austria, Belgium, France, Germany and the United States. In the coming days, PlayStation will release it in Japan (October 17), Europe (October 23) and North America (October 30). The new feature will be automatically added to players’ PlayStation Plus Premium subscription.
