Despite the streamer’s price hike, T-Mobile’s Netflix on us sees no changes except for one scenario،

It was September 2017 when T-Mobile launched “T-Mobile One with Netflix On Us”. This was one of a long series of offset movements by the carrier designed to place T Mobile outside of the competition. According to The mobile report, T Mobile says it plans to continue offering the promotion to its subscribers despite the higher subscription prices for the service announced by the video streaming platform last week.
In a support page set up by T-Mobile for its “Netflix on us” promotion, the operator notes the changes made by Netflix and responded by saying: “On October 18, 2023, Netflix announced price changes for its plans. The good news is that there are no changes for T-Mobile customers. For eligible customers, it’s still on us!” So if you were eligible to receive Netflix for free before the price hike, you’re still qualified to receive it now.
With one eligible Magenta Max line or two or more eligible Magenta lines, T Mobile subscribers can enjoy a free service below the most basic Netflix tier that allows streaming on a single screen. You can take advantage of the free Netflix service as part of its standard tier, which allows service on two screens, if you have two or more eligible Magenta Max lines in good standing.

But there is a scenario in which T Mobile subscribers will end up paying more for Netflix for us. Netflix has increased the price of its premium service tier to $22.99 per month, while the standard tier remains at $15.49 per month. The Standard level is the highest level T Mobile is ready to pay. If you are a T Mobile subscriber and already have a premium Netflix account that you pay for yourself, T Mobile will cover the monthly bill of $15.49 and you will be responsible for the remaining $7.50 per month.

Before T Mobile increased the price of its premium service, if you had your own premium Netflix plan and T Mobile paid $15.49 for your subscription each month, you’ve paid $4.50 12 times a year. But after Netflix’s $3.00 price hike, you now pay $90 per year for the premium Netflix service, up from $54 before the price hike.

So yes, as long as you meet the standard or basic Netflix tiers, Netflix’s price hike won’t affect your freebie. T Mobile subscription. But if you subscribe to the premium service, you’ll pay Netflix’s recent price hike, even though T Mobile will pay for part of your service.
