Share your Google Photos images with your favorite person faster than ever with this feature،

Is there a certain person, a “favorite person” if you like, who you send your photos to all the time? How would you like to select this person to appear on the share sheet so that you can “share instantly and in full quality with your favorite person” every time you share a photo from the Google Photos app? By 9to5GoogleAndroid added this feature which appeared on my Pixel 6 Pro running the latest Android 14 QPR3 beta.
Open the Google Photos app on your Android phone and tap the Library tab at the bottom of the screen. From there go to Utilities > Add a favorite shortcut. Follow the instructions and you will be able to select your favorite person. When you long-press on an image on the main Google Photos page, your “favorite person” will appear first on the share sheet. I can confirm that this feature works perfectly. And if you have a special someone who you always send photos to, this will save you time. The profile icon of your “favorite person” will appear with a small heart-shaped icon once you have made your selection.

I know what you want to ask, and no, you can only have one “favorite person” at a time. You can, however, edit this person by tapping your profile icon at the top right of the screen. From there go to Photo settings > Sharing > Quick Share. Click on the Remove shortcut link at the bottom of the screen. The feature appears in Google Photos 6.76 on Android. It hasn't appeared on iOS yet, although it's unclear if it will ever appear on the Google Photos app for iOS.

If this feature has appeared on your version of Google Photos and you share your photos with a specific friend, family member, or colleague, the little time it takes to set up this feature is certainly time well spent.
