Certain T-Mobile customers can now have another talk and text line without any fuss،
The second line will give you unlimited calls and texts, but no data. Your phone must support dual SIM functionality and it looks like at least one of the SIM cards will need to be an eSIM.
The second line has a base price of $25 but can be reduced with some discounts. For example, a “Hybrid BAN” discount drops the price to $15 and most people will qualify. If you haven't maxed out your autopay discount, the price will be reduced by an additional $5 for a final monthly rate of $10.
As for the difference between this new option and DIGITS, for starters, DIGITS allows you to have data on the second row. Second, some people find DIGITS difficult and confusing and it also requires downloading an app.
Apparently this is not the case TMobile's new second line plan is a more convenient way to have another number for your work or business.
However, the new plan generally resembles DIGITS, so it could be that TMobile is considering renaming or replacing DIGITS. At the moment it's called a test pilot.
The service is currently being tested in Seattle and South Florida and almost all postpaid plan subscribers are eligible. It's apparently not easily accessible, even in test markets, and leaked documents indicate that only certain representatives can add it to your plan.
If you live in an eligible area and have a compatible phone, you can contact customer support or visit a store to add a new line to your phone.
