Samsung announces rollout of One UI 6.1 with AI to Galaxy S23 / Tab S9 series, Z Fold5, Z Flip5،
Samsung has officially announced that One UI 6.1 is rolling out to a few older Galaxy devices, as promised earlier this year, will start on March 28. This means that in just a few days, millions of Galaxy device owners will have access to the suite of AI-powered features that debuted on the Galaxy S24 series.

Galaxy AI is coming
Aside from the usual bug fixes and security patches that come with a software update, One UI 6.1 will also unlock truly transformative AI tools that were originally exclusive to the Galaxy S24 series. Here's a summary of Galaxy AI features that will now be available on more devices:
- Circle to search with Google: This feature streamlines the way you search for information. You can now “Google” an object on your screen by simply circling the element or text, and Google Lens will search for it for you and give you the most relevant results. All this without needing to leave the application you are currently in.
- Live translation: An invaluable tool for breaking down those language barriers, Live Translate works during phone calls, providing you with both voice translation and live captions of what's being said on the other line.
- Chat support: This handy feature is found in Samsung's keyboard and can offer suggestions to improve your grammar or even translate messages into thirteen different languages.
- Generative editing: A fan favorite, Generative Edit is like a mini photo studio in your hands, found in the Samsung Gallery app as a suite of advanced AI tools. It provides the ability to easily remove unwanted objects or people from photos, resize objects, or even fill in the background of your photo to fill an even larger canvas.
It should be noted that, as previously stated by the company, Galaxy AI will be provided for free until the end of 2025, at which point it is unclear what the plan is to continue using these features. Additionally, some of these features (such as Circle to Search, Live Translate, and Generative Edit) require an Internet connection to work.
