Soon, you’ll be able to express your frustrations with Google’s Gboard quicker،

If you use Google's Gboard and are having problems with its behavior, you will be able to report your dissatisfaction to Google even more quickly in the near future.

9to5Google reports that Gboard now lets you quickly file a “quality bug report.”

This is Gboard's latest feature and this shortcut should open Google's standard tool for submitting issues and feedback on Android.

This “quality bug report” is found on the latest Gboard beta (13.9.13.x) on Pixel devices.

If you're not in the beta program, but still want to notify Google of an issue (or suggestion) on Gboard, you have to take a long route. The current process for filing bugs involves going to Gboard Settings, then tapping Help & Feedback (at the bottom), then Submit Feedback.

When this beta feature is released to the public, the whole process will be faster. This should take two taps or as quickly as a single tap if dragging and placing the “Quality Bug Reports” shortcut into the shortcuts toolbar.

The workflow otherwise appears identical, although “Quality Bug Report” is added to the beginning of the “describe your problem” field. This should allow the Gboard team to filter and find comments posted this way.

Before that, Gboard recently introduced a handy OCR feature called Scan Text to Gboard. When you use this feature, your camera will open, taking up a little more than half of your screen. A button will appear at the bottom center, along with a tagline that says: “Take a photo of the words to scan.”

Next, Gboard highlights all the text it identifies on the page. You can then insert the content captured from the photo into messages, notes, and other places. The feature also provides a quick overview of what it has copied next to the insert button.
