Threads now shows live scores for NBA games

Meta is testing many new features for Threads, the app that still has a long way to go before it can replace Twitter. Swipe gestures to “like” posts and “Current Trending” are just some of the features Threads has started testing over the past week.

Over the weekend, Meta's Mark Zuckerberg announcement that Threads will start showing live sports scores. The feature is currently being tested, so live NBA sports scores are the only ones that appear on Threads.

Apparently, this is not just a simple implementation of a feature allowing users to see sports results in real time, but a more complex implementation that involves several functions.

According to TechCrunchUsers can now tap a team's logo to be taken to the conversation about that specific team or connect with other sports fans who follow the same team.

Threads didn't choose the NBA at random, as basketball seems to be one of the most popular topics on the app. The social network also claims that NBA Threads is currently one of the most active sports communities.
