T-Mobile’s latest changes to Connect plans makes them a lot more appealing

T Mobile doesn't seem particularly committed to its Connect plans, but that's understandable given they were introduced to please regulators just before its merger with Sprint.

This is also the only explanation we can find for why the latest changes to Connect plans were not announced before or after their implementation. T-Mobile has made a habit of promoting every new product it launches or offers, but Connect plans seem to exist in a sort of “twilight zone.”

The changes we're talking about are actually positive and involve an increase in data allowances on two Connect plans. The changes were spotted by Criticism of media coverage and seems to be far superior to what T Mobile promised when these plans were initially launched.

Starting this month, the $15 plan offers 5GB of data (instead of 3.5GB) and the $25 plan offers 6.5GB of data (instead of 8GB). As mentioned previously, these increases far exceed the planned 500MB quota. T Mobile promised to add to Connect plans every year.

While adding more data will certainly make Connect plans more attractive to customers, they will become even less profitable for customers. T Mobile. Still, the fact that the carrier offered three times the amount of data it signed up for could be a sign that Connect plans are here to stay, at least for a while.
