The Galaxy M55 ditches the Exynos in favor of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon?،

Remember Samsung's Galaxy M range? Exactly a year ago, the Galaxy M54 was launched.

The Galaxy M, located below the Galaxy A line (and above the now-discontinued Galaxy J line), is designed for budget-conscious consumers, offering a blend of performance and value. These smartphones usually have big batteries, decent screens, and cameras that work well for the price. The Galaxy M series is aimed at markets where affordable smartphones are in high demand, such as India, and it is sold primarily online to keep costs down.

It's on paper. In reality, however, it seems that the Galaxy M54 is better than its Galaxy A54 counterpart in some aspects. Almost every piece of hardware except the chipset has been improved, but (there is always a “but…”!) There's a catch: the M54 isn't widely available.

Both the Galaxy A54 and Galaxy M54 pack an Exynos 1380 processor, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128 or 256GB of storage. However, the Galaxy M54 comes with a larger 108-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization and two additional sensors: 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro. In comparison, the Galaxy A54 uses a triple camera setup consisting of 50MP + 12MP + 5MP sensors.

The Galaxy M54's screen is also larger (6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus), unlike the Galaxy A54's 6.4-inch screen. Additionally, the Galaxy M54 packs a larger 6,000mAh battery with 25W support.

The Galaxy M55 is near

The Galaxy M55 is about to be released, as revealed MSPower User. Samsung hasn't made an official announcement yet, but pretty much everything you need to know about the phone has leaked:

The report leaks renders showing the phone in light green and black. The device would remain light at 180 grams, despite a heavy battery and large screen. It sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED+ display, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1,000 nits peak brightness.

The triple-camera layout on the back will most likely feature the following:

  • 50MP OIS main camera
  • 8MP ultra-wide camera
  • 2MP macro camera
  • 50MP selfie shooter

Under the hood, users should expect a 5,000mAh capacity battery with 45W Super Fast Charging 2.0. Notably, the Galaxy M55 could pack the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset with up to 12GB of RAM. The Galaxy A55, on the other hand, packs the Exynos 1480 chipset.
