Google Contacts App Update: Managing Custom Ringtones Just Got Easier ،

Setting a custom ringtone for individual contacts has been a tedious task on Android, especially in the Google Contacts app. Fortunately, Google aims to simplify and improve this feature with its latest update, making it much simpler and accessible.

A new update to the Google Contacts app lets users add custom ringtones from the Repair and manage bulk tab. Previously, users had to navigate to a contact, tap the three points, then follow a series of steps to set a personalized ringtone for each contact. This old method is still available, but the new method is more convenient for users who want to easily add and manage custom contact ringtones in bulk.

This is how the new method works

  1. Open it Google Contacts application.
  2. Press the Repair and manage at the bottom right.
  3. Below “Other tools” Press on Contact ringtones.
  4. Then tap Add a contact ringtone.
  5. Select a contact for whom you want to set a custom ringtone.
  6. Finally, select the ringtone you want to set and tap To safeguard at the top.
  7. You will now see the “Contact Ringtones” screen. You can Modify Delete, Or add personalized contact ringtones from here.
  8. To add custom contact ringtones, tap Add contact ringtones.
  9. Repeat the steps to assign custom ringtones to other contacts as well.

Advice: To delete a custom contact ringtone, tap the icon Trash icon and select Withdraw.

You can always use the old-school method of adding a custom ringtone for individual contacts. Follow the steps below.

  1. Open it Google Contacts application.
  2. Tap the contact you want to add a custom ringtone for.
  3. Tap the three dots at the top and select Set ringtone.
  4. Now select a ringtone you want to add.
  5. Once you're done, tap To safeguard at the top.

If you don't see the feature yet, don't worry. Google is slowly rolling out the feature in the latest update, so it should take a while to reach you. Just make sure you have the latest version of the Contacts app installed on your smartphone. Also make sure you have the latest software update installed for your device.
