Samsung launched the Galaxy S24 series in January 2024, in which the brand focused on Galaxy AI for its devices. Samsung Galaxy S25 series: Fastest storage speed
Samsung Semiconductor recently shared a roadmap that details plans for the next generation of Universal Flash storage solutions, which gives a first hint at what the new Galaxy S25 series will bring. Samsung believes that storage speed is a very important element that often goes unnoticed. The higher the storage speed, the faster data transfers and downloads will be on your device. A report from SamMobile claims that Samsung intends to launch the UFS 4.0 4-lane CS next year before launching the UFS 5.0 in 2027.
While the latest Samsung smartphones run on UFS 4.0 storage which offers read/write speeds of 4 GB/s, the UFS 4.4 4-Lane will double this speed to 8 GB/s. Considering Samsung's production schedule, the Galaxy S25 series could be the first to get 4-lane UFS 4.0 storage. UFS 5.0 is expected in 2027 with speeds of up to 10 GB/s.
