Palworld Announces First Raid, New Pal ‘Coming Soon’

While the hype surrounds World Pal has calmed down now, it still retains some popularity and the developer is preparing new exciting things. In addition to a new buddy, Pocketpair, is also preparing to launch the game's first raid.

A “powerful evil” approaches

In a recent article on X – accompanied by a teaser video – fans get a glimpse of the new creature coming to Palworld. Called Bellanoir, the chum emerges through the red smoke, wearing a voluminous skirt as other animals stand nearby, likely frightened.

In addition to this, the post also states that the game's first raid will also arrive in an incoming update. When we see this, Bellanoir is not specifically mentioned. All we know is that they'll be “coming soon.”

Released in January, Palworld immediately took off, becoming one of the biggest releases in recent memory. In fact, it became one of the best-selling games of all time on Steam. It currently sits at number 16 – above even Elden Ring and Grand Theft Auto 5 – according to Steam Database.

Its popularity has quickly skyrocketed, with over 2.1 million players logged in simultaneously on PC just a few months ago, setting a new record. The fact that it is recorded more than 110,000 players over the last 24 hours shows that the game is now down, which is normal for any trending game.

However, with World Pal currently 10% off Steam Spring Sale until March 21st – not to mention the raid and the arrival of a new buddy – we will likely see a slight increase in player numbers. At least for a little while.
