Here’s a rare opportunity to save a cool 30 bucks on Apple’s second-gen HomePod،

While Apple itself Never sells current-generation products at discounted prices (not even on Christmas or Black Friday), third-party US retailers sometimes offer deep discounts on a variety of “iDevices” ranging from iPads to AirPods and watches. However, this almost never includes HomePods, and on the rare occasions when it does, your savings are usually quite modest.

With that in mind, it's certainly nice to see the “regular” second-generation HomePod priced at $269.99 right now at Best Buy in white and “midnight” (read black) color options. That's down from the $299.99 you'd normally have to pay for this Siri-powered bad boy, which doesn't exactly equate to a colossal discount…by Google Nest or Amazon standards Echo.
For a year-old Apple smart speaker with premium audio capabilities, this is clearly a bargain that probably won't last very long. Compared to an equally high-end Echo Studio, for example, the HomePod 2 is still quite expensive, but if you're a die-hard Apple fan, you're probably used to paying extra for Apple's latest and greatest gadgets. the company.

At its core, a HomePod does many of the same things as an Echo or Nest Audio, just with Siri controlling your voice commands instead of Alexa or Google Assistant. You can use this device to play music in your living room (duh!), manage your smart home, set reminders, alarms and timers, search the web for answers to your most burning questions and even control the temperature and humidity around you, all without ever lifting a finger.

With a high-excursion woofer, five beamforming tweeters, and Spatial Audio support, Apple HomePod (2nd generation) promises to get your heart pumping by playing the tunes you love in the best possible quality. It is of course debatable whether the audio performance is truly superior to what you can get from, say, a Sonos Move 2, but what is clear is that you don't have much time to claim a HomePod 2 at a reduced price.
If you think this is the best smart speaker for you, now is definitely the time to pull the trigger, and while we can't really offer any guarantees, it's very unlikely that you'll end up regret your purchase.
