Samsung pushes March 2024 update to Galaxy S22 & S23 and Z Fold & Z Flip 5 series

Samsung is now offering the March Android update for the Galaxy S23, S22, and the Galaxy Fold and Flip 5 foldable lines, including carrier-locked devices. This update follows the update released earlier this month on the S24 series and mainly focuses on strengthening security rather than adding major new features. The latest security patch from March 2024 is the focus of the update, according to Verizon. changelog published. This includes fixes for two critical security flaws and thirty-five other high-priority vulnerabilities found in the Android operating system. Additionally, nine elements of Samsung's One UI interface have been fixed, improving overall reliability and user experience.

This update does not contain any user-facing features, but since it fixes critical security bugs, it is strongly recommended that you apply this update to your eligible Samsung device. The easiest way to do this is to go to your phone's settings menu, then tap “Software Update” > “Download and Install” to do the OTA (over-the-air) installation. A 6.1 UI update is just around the corner

Although the March update doesn't bring major changes, keep an eye out for the upcoming One UI 6.1 rollout. According to what Samsung previously said, this update, which debuted on the Galaxy S24 series, will be available on the S23, Fold 5, and Flip 5 by the end of March.
