Apple will release iOS 17.1 very soon and the other day it published a release note that includes all the bug fixes and changes that the update will bring to certain iPhone models. An interesting feature will allow AirDrop users to continue transferring data even when the parties involved in the transfer go out of AirDrop’s scope. In this scenario, data transfer will continue over the Internet.

Under the Music heading, we expect to see the following three changes with iOS 17.1:

  • Favorites are expanded to include songs, albums, and playlists, and you can filter to view your favorites in the library.
  • The new cover collection features designs that change color to reflect the music in your playlist.
  • Song suggestions appear at the bottom of each playlist, making it easy to add music that matches the mood of your playlist.
Some bug fixes include improved reliability of syncing Screen Time settings across devices, crash detection optimizations for iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 users, and extermination of a bug that prevents you from seeing your custom and purchased ringtones as options to select for your text. Your.
The update will fix an issue that makes your virtual QWERTY less responsive than it should be, eliminate an issue that prevented a caller’s name from appearing on screen when you’re on a call, and resolve an issue which caused an image should be retained on the screen even after the phone is turned off. A few iPhone15 Users have complained about burn-in on their screen, which is a hardware issue that cannot be repaired. Apple seems to think the real problem is image retention which can be fixed with a software update. We will know soon.

When iOS 17.1 arrives, go to Settings > General > Software update and follow the instructions to download and install it.
