Lazio fan arrested for Hitler salute in Munich beer hall،

An Italian fan among hundreds of Lazio supporters who sang fascist songs in the beer hall where Adolf Hitler founded the Nazi party was arrested and fined for giving the Hitler salute.

Munich police spokesman Michael Marienwald told The Associated Press on Tuesday that an 18-year-old Italian man was fined four figures after police were called to the Hofbräuhaus brewery Monday evening .

Marienwald said police were considering taking further action against more individuals after a large group of Lazio fans were filmed in the beer hall chanting about the Blackshirts, the paramilitary wing of the National Party Italian fascist.

In a video published by the The Republic newspaper, fans ended the song chanting “Duce! Duce! Duce!” in reference to the former Italian dictator Benito Mussolini, an ally of Hitler. Fans appeared to be making fascist salutes.

Hitler founded the National Socialist German Workers' Party, better known as the Nazi Party, with a speech at the same brewery in 1920.

Lazio fans were in Munich on Tuesday for their team's Champions League match against Bayern Munich. Lazio won the first leg of the round of 16 1-0 and were trying to reach the quarter-finals.
