Spring is just around the corner, and if you're like us, you're probably wondering if Amazon will give us a spring sales event this year. After all, the retailer held such an event from March 27 to 29 last year, offering different items at heavily discounted prices.

This got us thinking: why shouldn't another shopping trip happen this year? Judging by what we saw during Prime Day in October, we expect phone deals, smartwatch and earphone deals, and, of course, tablet promotions to arrive by the hundreds (maybe) next month.

Speaking of tablets, we've done our homework, reviewing the best tablet deals we saw during Prime Day 2 last year to draw up some expectations for the potential Amazon Spring Sale 2024. iPad deals

Last October, Amazon offered iOS users attractive deals on the latest models as well as older tablets. For example, the retailer sold the 9th generation iPad for 24% off, while the latest iPad Air had its price reduced by around 17%.

If there is an upcoming Amazon Spring Sale in 2024, we should expect similar discounts on the latest iPad models. Then again, older versions could see even lower prices than during October Prime Day.

Galaxy Tab deals

If there's an upcoming spring sale this year, we'll most likely see many of Samsung's best tablets at lower prices as well. Judging from the Black Friday and Prime Day sales events in October last year, we believe the deals will extend across the entire Galaxy tablet portfolio.

Last year, devices like the 128GB Galaxy Tab S6 Lite releasing in 2022 got a $150 price cut, while the vanilla Galaxy Tab S8 could be yours at $300 off its price . As for the latest flagship series, the 256GB Galaxy Tab S9 was available with a 14% discount.

If we host a spring sale this year, deals on the latest Tab S9 series should be much more attractive than they were last year, not to mention those on older models.

Deals on other tablets

Even though Samsung and Apple are the biggest players in the tablet market, brands like Microsoft, Lenovo, and Amazon also tend to get deep discounts on their most popular items during sales events.

As a reminder, Amazon sold Microsoft tablets with price cuts of $300 to $600 during last year's Prime Day in October, and its own tablets were available for 35 to 50 percent off their usual price. When it came to Lenovo's products, all retailed at prices 30-35% cheaper, with some of its budget options dipping well below the $100 mark.

Should we expect spring deals on other tablets this year? Absolutely, assuming Amazon will launch a spring sale. If the event takes place, mind you, we might even see the Google Pixel Tablet or OnePlus Pad in Amazon's deals section.
