[Exclusive] Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 First Look in Stunning 360° Video & 5K Renders،
Over the past few days, we've released high-quality renders and 360-degree videos of several alleged handsets, including the Nothing Phone (2a) and the Google Pixel Fold 2. We even talked about 5K renders of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6., but what about the Flip 6? For our readers interested in the next flip-style foldable, we've teamed up with @OnLeaks to present the exclusive first look at the Flip 6.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 360-degree video
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 looks stunning in the 360-degree video, which reveals the foldable compact in the Lavender colors. Although the shade is similar to the lavender variant of the Z Flip 5, it has a slightly more subdued finish. The first 11 seconds of the video feature approx. 6.7-inch interior screenthe city center punch cameraand glasses almost identical to those of its predecessor.
The first few seconds of the video reveal the location of the power button (which also serves as a fingerprint reader), the volume rockersand four antenna bands, which are on the right frame of the Flip 6. At the top are two antenna bands, along with what appears to be two microphones (one more than the Flip 5). Then we have the SIM tray at the same position on the left frame, with more antenna bands.
Finally, the placement of USB-C port, main speakerAnd microphones at the bottom of the Flip 6 are also similar to those of the Flip 5. When unfolded, the phone measures approximately 165.0 x 71.7 x 7.4mm. To the nearest millimeter, there are minor changes in the length and width of the smartphone. However, the depth has increased from 6.9mm to 7.4mm, suggesting an imminent increase in battery size.
5K renders reveal the reverse side of the foldable, which reveals the shape of the backrest cover screen which preserves the 3.4 inch size and a plain lower half. Apart from that, the dual camera setup and flash location retain their position, as do the cover screen frames. There have been rumors about larger screens on the Flip 6 in the past, but that doesn't appear to be true.
CAD-based 5K renders showcase the phone in its mint colors. One of the renders gives a glimpse of the phone hinge, with the Samsung brand. However, it doesn't seem any different from the current generation. Another render contains the Flip 6 in its folded state, showcasing the folding mechanism with no gaps.
Additionally, Samsung will retain the overall look and form factor of the current foldables, with minor changes in dimensions. This reflects the company's conservative approach to design that it has spent years improving.
Expected specifications of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6
Contrary to previous rumors, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is expected to have similar screen sizes as the Flip 5 (test), including the 3.4-inch cover screen and the 6.7-inch inner screen. Both displays should retain their 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness. However, we expect the company to get rid of the creases on foldable phones this year, or at least make them less noticeable, like the OnePlus Open ( review ). The company could also improve the durability of the hinge.
Under the hood, the smartphone is expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset for Galaxy, with various memory and storage configurations. However, to spice things up, the company is expected to equip the phone with Galaxy AI features that we saw on the Galaxy S24 series. While we expect the smartphone to include most of the Galaxy AI features we've already seen, there could be a few folding-specific capabilities.
The Flip 6 is expected to come with One UI 6.0 based on Android 14. Regarding optics, the foldable will come with a dual camera setup that is expected to retain the 12 MP resolution. However, there is one aspect that the Flip 6 should improve significantly in battery size. According to several reports, the Flip 6 is expected to come with a 4,000mAh battery, improving users' battery life concerns. Additionally, users should also expect seven years of software updates.
Finally, the smartphone is expected to be released between mid-July and August at a price similar to its predecessor, i.e. $999 for the base variant with 256 GB of storage.
