Walmart offers the budget Sony WF-C500 at discounted prices, making them even more affordable،
In case you missed it, yesterday we shared a deal on Sony's newest and most impressive wireless earbuds, the WF-1000XM5. But then again, we know too well that not everyone can afford to spend too much money on the best headphones or phones. So today we offer you an economical alternative, once again bearing the Sony logo. We're talking about the WF-C500, now about $38 cheaper at Walmart. While the retailer's current deal on these budget headphones certainly isn't as enticing as its Black Friday promotion (when you could get a pair for around $30), it's definitely not something you'd we can see it every day. For example, Amazon also sells them at a discounted price, but it's not as good as what we see at Walmart. So if you're on a budget, these should be more than enough to meet your basic needs.
Right off the bat, you shouldn't expect great things from these headphones. Typically retailing for around $100, they obviously don't come with the fanciest wireless earbud tech features like active noise cancellation with multiple modes or Multipoint Bluetooth. Despite this, they are a perfect choice for everyday use thanks to their IPX4 rating and solid design. You can even use them at the gym or during your evening run!
Distinguished by their comfortable, lightweight design and Sony's patented DSEE engine, these headphones also offer excellent passive noise isolation. Note that these aren't ANC, which means you'll need to find the perfect fit in order to get the most out of their passive noise isolation.
Now let's move on to the soundstage. Although these are budget headphones, they should actually sound pretty good for their price range. There is a slight under-emphasis on the mids compared to the bass and higher frequencies, but you have to listen very carefully to notice it. Additionally, if you listen casually while running or during workouts, you should be mostly happy with their sound performance.
The WF-C500 also offers good battery life for its price range. You should be able to get 9-10 hours of listening time on a single charge or up to 20 hours with the charging case. Although the case only gives you one extra charge, the good news is that it supports fast charging.
