Valley of Stars is one of the biggest indie releases in recent memory, and many fans are waiting for the next update. As the game celebrates its eighth anniversary, the developer announces the release date of the next patch.

PC first, then console

In a recent post on X, Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone thanked fans for continuing to support Stardew Valley over the years. At the same time, they also announced that version 1.6 will be rolled out on March 19.

This will be for the PC version of the game. The post goes on to say that console and mobile updates “will follow as soon as possible.” For now, we cannot say when they will be launched.

Barone goes on to explain that the game is “thriving more than ever”, with over 30 million copies sold.

Recently, a Stardew Valley concert goes on tour around the world. The show presents the game's musical score to a live audience, performed by an orchestra. Shows are taking place in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, although tickets are sold out.

Released on February 26, 2016, Valley of Stars became a phenomenal success. Noted for its retro and colorful visuals, relaxing gameplay, and plethora of content, it continues to attract audiences to this day.

It currently has a score of “extremely positive” on Steam. In addition to a 50% discount for the next few hours, Stardew has managed to skyrocket the price. Steam Best Sellers in the charts, where it sits at number eight at the time of writing.
