The just-announced Honor Magic 6 Pro – the one that packs both a paranormal battery and a magical camera – is having a DxOMark fiesta, breaking three of their records.
Android titles reports that the Magic 6 Pro now leads the Screen, Battery and Selfie categories. He also managed to take a very good second place in the Audio department.
The selfie camera of Honor's latest flagship steals 151 points, two more than the iPhone 15 Pro (Max) (149 points) and iPhone 14 Pro Max (145 points).
The Magic 6 Pro's 50MP, f/2.0 auto-snapper is a notable improvement over its predecessor: the Magic 5 Pro comes with a 12MP image sensor and an f/2.4 aperture lens.

In our testing, the Honor Magic6 Pro delivered the most well-rounded performance to date, scoring excellently across all sub-attributes. It was even better than the previous #1, the Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max, in most testing areas except exposure and color in photo and video. Comparing the two leading devices, we can see that the iPhone generally offers better contrast and more vibrant colors. However, iPhone images also have significant amounts of noise. The Honor Magic6 Pro, on the other hand, does particularly well when it comes to noise, offering an impressive compromise between texture preservation and noise reduction.
The Magic 6 Pro scored 157 points in the Display category, beating the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra (155 points) and the Google Pixel 8 Pro (154 points).
DxOMark highlighted the phone's “precise, responsive and smooth touch panel”, while praising its “better motion handling”.
Then there's the drum record – no surprise there! DxOMark highlighted the battery's “excellent indoor life” and great battery life when the screen is on but you're not using it.
After all, this is the device that survived five days in subzero temperatures (it was put on) and still had some battery left. This is thanks to the second generation silicon-carbon battery it contains.
