Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Event in July 2024: Next Generation Foldables, Galaxy Ring & Galaxy XR Expected،
Tech giant Samsung held its first Unpacked event for 2024 on January 17, where the company announced the Samsung Galaxy S24 series of smartphones and the Galaxy AI features that will come with them. Now, speculations are rife that Samsung's next Unpacked Event will take place in July 2024. Unlike the January event, the July one is expected to see a slew of launches. A reliable tipster (@TheGalox_) claims this will be the lineup for July's Unpacked event.

Samsung next-generation foldables in July
Just like in previous years, the next generation of Samsung Galaxy Foldings will be the highlight of the event. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 And Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be announced and should be accompanied by improvements in the hardware as well as the software department. Earlier, there was news that Samsung was also working on a more affordable foldable, but it seems that announcement is still a long way off.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 has been teased via patented images that have appeared online. It is said that the foldable will undergo a significant design change this time. Reports claim that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be 11mm thick instead of 16mm. This will make it Samsung's thinnest foldable device yet. Additionally, improvements are expected in terms of display, battery and camera.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is expected to arrive this time with a larger cover screen. The brand plans to include various improvements to the next-generation flip phone. These will include higher battery capacity, better camera setup, display changes, and more.
Samsung Galaxy Ring
The first look at Galaxy Ring was given at the end of the Unpacked event in January. Now, Samsung has given an even better look at the wearable at the ongoing MWC 2024. The Galaxy Ring was presented in full glory at the event. It has a metal construction and feels like a lightweight device that will make it comfortable to wear 24/7. The ring will be available in eight sizes.
The wearable will have various health features that will work in sync with the Samsung Health app. These include heart rate tracking, SpO2 tracking, stress management, and more. According to an image shared by Samsung, the ring will also help manage stress, track steps, calories and distance traveled, as well as track the menstrual cycle.
AI features are also expected to come to the Smart Ring. Samsung has confirmed that it will launch in 2024, so Unpacked Event seems to be the right platform for the official announcement.
Samsung Galaxy Buds 3
Samsung could finally refresh its Buds lineup during the July event. According to the launch cycle followed by Samsung, the earbuds were supposed to arrive in 2023, but that didn't happen. Today at CES 2024, Samsung showed off a new Galaxy Buds prototype case with an OLED display, so perhaps that's what the brand has next. Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 should have better ANC, improved audio quality and more features (Galaxy AI could also be included).
Samsung Galaxy Watch series 7
Samsung could refresh the smartwatch lineup by introducing the Samsung Galaxy Watch series 7. The series will include three models: Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch 7 Classic and Galaxy Watch 7 Pro. The watches come with many health and fitness features which will be further improved and added in the next generation of smartwatches. Reports claim that Samsung could add sleep apnea detection to the Watch 7. We'll know more as July approaches.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Series
A new series of tablets is also expected to roll out during July's Unpacked event. Apple's iPad rival, Samsung's Galaxy Tab S-Series, hasn't been officially announced, but rumors have it that it could be coming. In the past, tablets have mostly arrived in July or August, which also seems synonymous with the date of this year's event. The series will include Galaxy Tab S10Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy XR headphones
To compete with Vision Pro and enter the field of mixed reality headsets, Samsung has worked on its Galaxy XR headset for a while now. The South Korean tech giant worked in tandem with Google and Qualcomm to develop its wearable which is expected to arrive in 2024. 9to5Google reports that the headset has been named “infinite” and will launch in 2024. The product presentation could take place during the July Unpacked event, while the official launch could take place later in 2024.
Samsung could also unveil a new service, the details of which are still secret.
