BYD Seal EV Specifications Leaked Ahead of Highly Anticipated Launch: Expected Price and Features،

Ahead of its official debut on March 5, BYD is gearing up to unveil its highly anticipated second product in India, the BYD Seal. The leaked details provided insight into the specifications and other key features of this upcoming release, including its expected price range. Here are more details about it.

BYD Seal Leakage Features and Specifications

Equipped with BYD's signature blade battery technology, the upcoming BYD Seal has a substantial 82.5 kWh battery pack. Offering fast charging capabilities, it can charge from 10% to 80% in just 37 minutes, supporting fast charging speeds of up to 150kW. For conventional charging needs, a standard 11 kW AC charger will take approximately 8.6 hours to fully charge the battery from 0 to 100%.

Thanks to this robust battery, the BYD Seal achieves impressive performance. Delivering a maximum power of 230 hp and a maximum torque of 360 Nm, this electric vehicle (EV) is ready to deliver an exciting driving experience. Available globally in both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) variants, the Indian market may initially witness the launch of the RWD version, with the AWD variant expected to follow suit. With acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, the Seal EV demonstrates fast and dynamic performance capabilities.

Infotainment system

In 2021, BYD unveiled its innovative Ocean X design platform, serving as the basis for the Seal model. Drawing inspiration from the appeal of the ocean, the Seal features distinct design cues such as a sloping glass roof and boomerang-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs), complemented by elongated headlights. Inside, passengers enjoy modern amenities including a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch rotating infotainment screen. The rotating screen, reminiscent of the BYD Atto 3, adds a touch of versatility and sophistication to the interior space.

Expected price in India

BYD India has officially scheduled the Seal to launch on March 5 in New Delhi, marking a milestone in the electric vehicle market. Positioned as a formidable competitor, the Seal is poised to directly challenge rivals like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6. With an expected price hovering around Rs 50 lakh, it aims to carve out a niche in the premium electric vehicle segment.
