Xiaomi 14 & Xiaomi 14 Ultra Announced Globally: Watch 3, Smart Band 8 Pro & Pad 6S also launched،
Mobile World Congress 2024 is set to begin today in Barcelona, Spain. The event will see various major technology brands from around the world hosting shows and showcasing their plans for the future. A day before the official start of MWC, the third largest smartphone maker Xiaomi held its ecosystem event where the company announced several products for the global market.
Let's take a look at the features, pricing, and availability of these newly launched products, one by one.
Xiaomi 14: Features
Xiaomi announced its flagship smartphone series at the event. The Xiaomi 14 series includes two devices: the Xiaomi 14 and the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, both of which come with top-notch photography capabilities.
Xiaomi 14 is a compact device with a thickness of 8.20 mm. It comes with a 6.36-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with 3,000 nits brightness, 460 ppi, and 120 Hz refresh rate. The Xiaomi 14 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and features Qualcomm FastConnect 7800, bringing WiFi 72 with 320 MHz capacity.
There is a triple camera setup on the back, comprising a 50 MP primary sensor, a 50 MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 50 MP telephoto lens. On the front is a 32MP selfie shooter. Under the hood, the flagship packs a 4,610mAh battery backed by 90W HyperCharge and 50W Wireless HyperCharge. It runs Xiaomi HyperOS and Xiaomi has promised four years of Android OS and five years of security patches for Xiaomi 14 series.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra: Features
Xiaomi 14 Ultra has a sleek flat-back design with a circular camera module for the rear cameras. It features an aluminum frame, nano-tech vegan leather and Xiaomi protective glass. The Ultra model comes with a 6.73-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 3,000 nits brightness, and 522 ppi.
Just like the base model, it is also powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. There is a quad camera setup on the back which includes a Sony LYT900 50MP primary sensor, a Sony IMX858 50MP telephoto lens, a Sony IMX858 50MP lens and a 50MP ultra-wide shooter. There is a 32MP selfie camera on the front. Xiaomi 14 Ultra supports Dolby Vision and an additional microphone for a 4-mic array.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra packs a 5,000mAh battery with 90W HyperCharge capacity and 80W wireless HyperCharge capacity. It runs HyperOS and has been promised four years of Android and five years security updates.
Xiaomi 14 series: price and availability
Xiaomi 14 is available in two storage configurations:
- 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage
- 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage
The price starts at around Rs. 9,999. 89,000 worldwide. It will be available in black, white and jade green tones. In India, it will be launched on March 7 and will cost around Rs. 9,999. 75,000
Xiaomi 14 Ultra is available in only one storage model.

Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro: Specifications
Xiaomi also announced its next flagship tablet. THE Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro sports a 12.4-inch LCD panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. The display supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, 900 nits brightness, and 3K resolution. The Pad is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of onboard storage. For graphics, there is an Adreno 740 GPU.
The tablet runs Xiaomi HyperOS and packs a large 10,000mAh battery under the hood with 120W fast charging speed. On the back there is a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth camera, while that on the front is a 32 MP selfie snapper. Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 6-speaker setup supported by Dolby Atmos, and a thickness of 6.26mm. The tablet weighs 590 grams and comes in a graphite gray shade.
Xiaomi Watch 2
THE Xiaomi Watch 2 comes with a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with 466 x 466p resolution, 600 nits brightness and an aluminum alloy frame. It is powered by the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chipset and has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The watch comes preloaded with Google's WearOS and will be available in silver and black tones.
The smartwatch packs a 495mAh battery that provides up to 65 hours of battery life on a single charge. It weighs 36.8 grams and measures 11.8 mm thick. The Xiaomi Watch 2 is rated 5ATM for water protection. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi, GPS, Galileo, Glonass and BeiDou. It is equipped with various sensors like heart rate sensor, SpO2 monitor, gyroscope, barometer, ambient light sensor, etc. There are over 160 sports modes and safety features like SOS and fall detection.
The Xiaomi Watch 2 is priced at EUR 199 (approximately Rs. 17,900).
Xiaomi Watch S3: Features
THE Xiaomi Watch S3 sports a 1.43-inch circular AMOLED panel with 326ppi, 466x466p resolution and 600 nits brightness. It measures 12mm thick and weighs 44 grams. The smartwatch is powered by a 486mAh battery offering up to 15 hours of battery life. It supports fast charging, which means it can deliver 2 days of battery life in 5 minutes.
The Xiaomi Watch S3 comes in black and silver tones and has interchangeable bezels so users can customize the watch according to their preferences. Watch S3 bands can be purchased in shades of Ocean Blue, Chrome Yellow, Rainbow, and Two-Tone Ceramic.

Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro: Specifications
Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro features a larger 1.74-inch AMOLED display with 60Hz refresh rate, 336ppi and 336x480p resolution. This latest fitness tracker comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and over 200 loaded watch faces. The bracelet weighs 22.5 grams and is 9.99 mm thick.
The Smart Band 8 Pro packs a 289mAh battery that provides 14 days of battery life. There are over 150 sport modes, built-in GNSS and much more. The company also offers braided, leather and Milanese straps for the fitness tracker, as well as TPU. The bracelet is rated 5ATM for water resistance.
The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro is priced at EUR 69 (around Rs.6200).
