Threads begins to test saving drafts and taking photos inside of the app،

Launched last year as an answer to those looking for an alternative to Twitter (Now, X), Threads by Instagram has slowly but surely added new features to improve the user experience. In the latest round of updates, the app is testing the ability to write messages as well as take a photo to share within the app.
THE announcement was produced by the boss of Instagram and Threads, Adam Mosseri, very active on the application and its community. He specifies that this test is currently underway with a small number of users.

From the screenshots shared, we can see that writing an article simply involves swiping down, at which point the draft then becomes available for future use. Additionally, if you're participating in the test, you should see a camera icon in the post-composer, right next to the icon for inserting media. This will allow you to use your camera while you create a post, saving you a few clicks.

While these are all welcome improvements to the app, there are still a few features that the Threads community has been asking for for some time and have yet to be implemented. The ability to send direct messages is one of them, a feature that has not yet been confirmed as being available on the platform.

Despite this, Threads continued to grow and reached an impressive 130 million monthly users. Mosseri and his team continue to deliver new features that bring the user experience closer to what you get with competing platforms, bringing an air of familiarity to the community. As shared by Mark Zuckerberg in a recent statementhe envisions Threads as a potential platform for Meta, and constantly adding user-requested features might just be how he gets there.
