WhatsApp Will Soon Allow Two Accounts On One Phone

Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp announced a multi-account login feature on Thursday. This will allow users to have two WhatsApp accounts connected simultaneously. The platform has been working on this feature for a long time. In the near future, Android users will be able to use this feature to seamlessly switch between WhatsApp accounts.

Mark Zuckerberg took to his official Facebook account to announce this feature, writing: “Soon you will be able to have two WhatsApp accounts on one phone within the app. » However, the screen he shared is from the Android version of the app, indicating that the feature will be available on Android (gradually rolling out in the coming weeks). However, WhatsApp generally offers such features on Android and iOS; therefore, multi-account login will likely come to the iOS version of the app very soon.

Many WhatsApp users prefer to keep two accounts: one for work and one for personal chats. However, these users had to download a clone app on Android or create a WhatsApp Business account on iOS. This is where the multi-account login feature comes in: it allows users to switch between two WhatsApp accounts in just a few clicks. Users need a separate phone number (with a SIM card) or a phone with multiple SIM cards installed to configure features. The app will verify the second number via a one-time password.

How to configure WhatsApp multi-account connection?

Open the Settings section in WhatsApp, tap the arrow next to the name, then tap “Add account.” Now enter the new number, verify it using the one-time password, and that’s it.
