After a brief hiatus, Mobile World Congress was back with a bang in Barcelona last year and we had a fun time exploring all the booths and surprise tech from both big brands and announcements from small, innovative stores .
This year, MWC 2024 promises to be even more
exciting, riding the wave of the AI revolution that promises to make living with our devices easier and fewer tasks. Let's take a sneak peek at all the big device, carrier, and software announcements to expect at Mobile World Congress!
When does MWC 2024 start?

As usual, our team will land before the official start of the MWC 2024 exhibition, as many big brands don't want their big announcements to get drowned out in the cacophony of the show, so they start producing press releases and invite us for device previews as soon as possible. like the weekend before Mobile World Congress begins, so stay tuned for the first bits of tech coverage starting Sunday!
MWC 2024: all the main mobile devices and announcements to be expected
As usual, most of the big players in the communication and connectivity industry will be present, but we are more interested in the consumer devices and technologies on the mobile side that will be presented, so let's see an overview of what what we can expect and from whom.
Samsung chips and camera sensors

Samsung will be focused on chips, sensors and AI at this MWC 2024. It will showcase the latest GDDR7 memory, Exynos processing and the partnership with Intel, as well as the 5G modem silicon it has placed in everything – from cars to phones – also. as well as what's new in the camera sensor division, including new pixel focusing technology for smart phones and vehicles.
Motorola

OnePlus Watch 2

Described as the “perfect companion to the OnePlus 12 series”, the OnePlus Watch 2 will be available in stunning “Black Steel” and “Radiant Steel” colorways. OnePlus claims its next smartwatch will be able to last up to 100 hours straight without recharging in “full smart mode”, so 3 days without a charger isn't out of the question.
Google, Android and AI

Google will talk long and hard about its AI innovations, including for the Android mobile operating system at MWC 2024. Considering what it's capable of on Samsung's Galaxy
S24 series when it's sprinkled with Samsung's AI, we will all be the eyes and ears.
Nothing 2a?
- Nothing MWC 2024 keynote: 2/27, 7:30 p.m. CET, 12:30 p.m. ET
Leave the teasing to Nothing, which has been hinting at a new budget device to replace the affordable 1a for quite a while now. Who knows, we might even learn more about Nothing 2a, which is scheduled to be released on March 5 on Tuesday when we will be invited to the announcement of Nothing by… something at MWC 2024.
Oppo, Honor, Xiaomi, ZTE
Many Chinese phone giants will also be present at MWC 2024. Oppo could surprise us with its AI projects and AR projects, Xiaomi mainly presents its new 14 series and its first smart electric car, ZTE, a new Red Magic, while Honor will present its Magic 6
Pro and the V2 which is currently the thinnest foldable phone. Oh, these can do cool AI stuff too.
Transparent devices
Motorola's parent company Lenovo will have a lot more to show than cool, flexible phone concepts at MWC 2024, as it could usher in the era of transparent devices there. Apparently a laptop with a transparent screen is available and we're going to raid its booth just to relay to you all the fun and games that are happening with a transparent device concept.
