Users Reporting Screen Flickering Issues On The Latest Apple Watch

In recent years, new Apple launches are often accompanied by bugs or glitches. However, the company resolves them quickly. Users have been facing overheating issues with the iPhone 15 Pro, which the company claims to have resolved and fixed with iOS 17.0.3. Now, some Apple Watch owners are reporting that they are facing a screen-related issue.

Apple Watch screen flickers

A hot minute after the release of the Apple Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2, the Cupertino-based tech giant is investigating an issue with these devices. According to a report by MacRumors, users are experiencing screen flickering issue with always-on mode. Users reported the issue on several forums, including Reddit and Apple Support Community. The issue, according to the post, appears to exist on all versions of watchOS 10, including watchOS 10.0.2.

The publication cites an internal memo shared with Apple’s authorized service providers. While the memo doesn’t specify which Apple Watch models suffer from this issue, it is prevalent in the company’s latest models. In the note, Apple asked service providers to refrain from repairing the issue and suggests customers keep their Apple Watch updated.

Apple could fix the problem with a software update

From what it looks like, Apple will fix this issue with an upcoming software update. The company is already working on watchOS 10.1, which is expected to be released next week. However, it is unclear if the screen flickering issue has been resolved. As a temporary solution, users can turn off Always-on Mode on their Apple Watch.

Besides the screen flickering issue on the Apple Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2, the company is also working on an issue where the activity rings, on the home watch face, could “temporarily turn pink.
