Genge and Cole replace Joe Marler and Will Stuart respectively in the front row while Care replaces the injured Alex Mitchell at scrumhalf.

Lawrence returns from a period of absence to start at inside center in place of Fraser Dingwall while Furbank replaces Freddie Steward at full-back.

Steward is a selection call-up and is not named among the replacements which include George Martin and Ben Spencer.

England are looking to make it three from three in the Six Nations after wins over Italy and Wales.

“We are pleased with the start to our Guinness Six Nations campaign but know a tough test awaits us in Edinburgh against an in-form Scotland team,” Borthwick said.

“The atmosphere is always special for any Calcutta Cup match and I am sure this weekend's match at Murrayfield will be no different.

“This group of players is looking forward to Saturday’s challenge and creating some very special memories.”
