T-Mobile subscribers dealt with issues Friday morning as the carrier was improving its network،

If you're a T-Mobile subscriber, Friday morning you may have realized something was up with the carrier's network. According to Fault detectorthe number of complaints received regarding an issue with the nation's second-largest wireless provider increased 100-fold with 42 submissions as of 4:41 a.m. ET, reaching a peak of 4,748 exactly two hours later.

A whopping 75% said they couldn't get confirmation that a text message they sent had been received, even though some of them reached the recipient. 19% of those who declare Fault detector about the outage said they couldn't send or receive phone calls, and 6% had problems with their 5G home internet.

As of 1:26 p.m. ET, the number of new reports had reduced significantly to 96. The mobile report received a declaration from TMobile which said: “We fixed an issue that was causing some customers to experience intermittent texting and calling issues for a short period overnight. This was related to planned work on our network. We apologize for any inconvenience .”

The problems encountered by TMobile The customers covered subscribers in major cities, including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Boston, Miami, Tampa, Columbus and Charlotte. Worse still, TMobileThe 611 support phone number for subscribers was also not working.

As you would expect, MVNOs using TMobileThe operator's networks were also affected by the outage which, as we have already highlighted, was due to planned maintenance on the operator's network. Not to be a TMobile subscriber, I was wondering if TMobile subscribers received advance notification on Friday morning indicating that the operator was carrying out work on the network that could have an impact on the service. This would be similar to signs posted on a highway that warn drivers to expect certain lanes to be closed on a specific day due to construction.

The good news is that the issues started to disappear fairly early today with reports that service had started to return to normal by 9:40 a.m. ET.
