This led Apple to halt work on a foldable iPhone until a more durable display could be found that met Apple's high standards.
Foldables don't appear in Apple's roadmaps for 2024 and 2025 and if today's report is legit, it would seem that at this point we shouldn't expect a foldable iPhone of such early. However, the report does not specify whether Apple is abandoning the rumored portable iPad. Such a device has some advantages in terms of durability, as a foldable iPad would not have to spend time in the user's pockets and the device would be thicker than a foldable iPhone.
