Arrowhead Game Studios fixed the following issues with Helldivers 2 update 01.000.008:
- Matchmaking
- Playfab Optimization
- Optimized Playfab environment – All lobbies now have the appropriate data to run more efficient matchmaking
- Filtering optimization
- We are optimizing the filtering system when players search for lobbies so that it excludes lobbies that are already full.
- Stability and crash
- We've fixed three of our major crashes in the game, including particle renderer crashes and ragdoll crashes.
- Fixed an issue where the app prioritized integrated graphics over certain laptop GPUs.
- Defend major events and orders.
- For readability reasons, we have added a visual progress indicator to major order defense events.
The developer has also acknowledged the known issues and will be rolling out future fixes in the next Helldivers 2 update. It is currently working on possible solutions to the issues encountered. These include issues such as:
- Players may still experience some instability during matchmaking.
- Background music, sound effects, and JP audio are not played during the opening cutscene. The Japanese original version is also absent from Ship TV.
However, fans have resorted to expressing their frustrations with Helldivers 2 update 01.000.008 on platforms like Reddit and Twitter (X). Due to the massive success of the game on PC and PS5, players seem to be flooding the game servers. These servers appear ill-equipped to handle such an amount of traffic.
