Google announces changes to Docs, Sheets and Slides comments sections،

Google plans to make significant changes to the comments sections of Docs, Sheets and Slides, the Mountain View company announcement this week. This is an attempt to provide users with an improved commenting experience in these apps. So here are the main key features coming next month.

First, Google is adding new ways to interact with comments which can be selected by going to View comments. For example, users will be able to click on the new “Show all comments» to open a full view to more easily browse multiple comments.

Plus, the updated search and filter functionality will make it easier to find what you're looking for. A curated “For You” list will also be added, which will surface any comments that require action.

Another useful new feature that will be available in Docs and Slides in just a few weeks is the ability to expand comments. Basically, users will be able to see comments alongside the content of the document or presentation, making it easier to review them alongside the content they are working on.

Additionally, Google Docs and Sheets users will have the option to minimize comments. This specific feature will reduce comments to icons, allowing a more focused view of the content of these applications. It's also important to add that this setting will give users a quick overview with lots of information about who is commenting.

Finally, the ability to hide comments is one of the most important features that will be available next month in all three Google apps: Docs, Sheets and Slides.

The new features announced this week will be available to all Google Workspace customers, Google Workspace Individual subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts. The rollout is scheduled to begin March 1 and is expected to take approximately three days.
