Do you hate voice messages? Skype announces Audio Transcription feature and makes them into text،

If you often find yourself in noisy environments, have hearing problems, or don't have time to listen to long voice messages – or if you the hate when your friends bombard you with 60-second voicemails filled with “uhhhh”/“uhmmmm” that actually contain 2 lines of meaningful information – well, Skype has you covered. The once-omnipotent chat platform announces new audio transcription feature that converts voice messages to text for improved clarity and accessibility (via MSPower User). Users can activate transcription with a single tap, seeing the audio waveform and text simultaneously.

Thanks to the latest Insider version of Skype (8.113), the new feature improving the accessibility and clarity of audio messaging (Audio Transcription) is accessible: it allows users to convert voice messages to text format, thus improving understanding messages and facilitating communication for hearing-impaired users.

“In addition, Skype has also introduced a top menu switcher to make it easier to navigate between reaction categories, eliminating the need for extensive scrolling. The user-friendly design presents favorite reactions easily accessible and expands the emoticon library with more options for expressive communication,” the report said.

These features are currently available in the Insider build and are expected to be released to a wider user base in the near future!
