Chiefs’ Travis Kelce – Bumping, yelling at Andy Reid ‘unacceptable’،

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, called out by his brother, Jason Kelce, on their “New Heights” podcast for bumping into coach Andy Reid and yelling in his face during Super Bowl LVIII, said his actions were “unacceptable”.

Travis Kelce said after the Chiefs' 25-22 overtime victory over the San Francisco 49ers that his emotions got the better of him, but prompted by his brother, he laid out the situation and spoke of his admiration for Reid.

Jason Kelce told his brother, “You've crossed the line; I think we can both agree on that.”

“I did it,” admitted Travis Kelce. “I can't have it triggered to the point where I bump the coach and it throws him off balance and everything.”

Explaining why he was so fiery during that interaction with Reid, Kelce said: “I had a bit of a relationship with him. He checked on me a few times and I just wanted to let him know that I wanted this thing, and that 'he can put it in. me, and I got it. You know, it just came at a time where we weren't playing very well, I wasn't playing well, and we had to do some stupid things and sometimes. .. emotions become far from me and that has been the battle of my career.”

Kelce said he told Reid about the interaction and the two “laughed about it.”

I couldn't be, you know, more proud to be his product on the field, and I couldn't be more proud, you know, of how far we've come as a team since I got here in 2013, and I “I love playing for this guy, man. Unfortunately, my passion comes out where it seems like it's negativity, but I'm grateful that he knows I want to win this thing with him more than anything,” Kelce said.

Kelce said, “I immediately wished I could take it back,” but then Reid's reaction surprised him.

“Actually, Coach Reid came up to me after that and didn't even have a harsh word for me. I was ready for my ass to be chewed out and for him to just say 'fuck it.' “.be better”, and he just left [me] know, 'Hey man, I love your passion. I got cameras on me everywhere man, you don't want things to happen'…and it just got me…excited to get a damn win for him, man. Because that's how much I love this guy, man. So Big Red, sorry if I surprised you with that low blow, baby,” he said.

After Super Bowl LVIII, Reid said he appreciated Kelce's passion and indicated the contact wasn't as bad as it seemed.

Jason Kelce told his brother he needed to have his “head on a swivel” because Reid would “come hot” after him next time.

“I know that. If he would have hit me cold in the face, I would have just eaten it and said, yeah, let's go,” Travis Kelce said.
