Samsung’s first Galaxy S24 series update will address (some of) your display concerns ‘in February’،
After adopting the risky “it's not a bug, it's a feature” strategy in response to some of the early complaints about the relatively low apparent quality of the Galaxy S24S24 Plus and S24 Ultra, Samsung is rumored to be working on a software update primarily focused on improving the “vibrancy” of the said displays based on the preferences and wishes of real-world smartphone users.
This update, which should be the very first revision of the software present at launch on the three aforementioned ultra-high-end phones, is finally available.
has gone official ahead of a live rollout “in February.” Given that it's already February, we're going to assume that this vague and somewhat confusing deadline means that the update is (roughly) ready for prime time and likely to be sent out to game owners momentarily. the

What's new?
The main change confirmed by
Samsung today is undoubtedly the “Vividness” slider added to the “Advanced Settings” menu to allow you to “personalize your visual experience”.
While the company insists that what many users described as a “dumb” screen, particularly on the cutting-edge Galaxy S24 Ultra, was an intended behavior aimed at delivering a “natural” viewing experience, anyone who looking to take advantage of a “more dynamic” screen should give the new slider a whirl.
There are apparently three “Vividness” options that you can experiment with and choose later “in February”, with the default setting remaining unchanged because Samsung obviously thinks the vast majority of S24 series users are happy with their “natural viewing experience” . “.
If you're not particularly happy with the
camera performance of your new Android flagship, you should be happy to know that this update seeks to improve that area as well.
Unfortunately, it's not entirely clear to what extent the capabilities of the Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra shooters will be improved. All we know is that Samsung is preparing to make changes to the “zoom functions, portrait mode, night mode, rear camera
video shooting” and “more” skills, which certainly sounds promising, but also generic and vague.
What is missing ?
At least for now, there's no information about any security improvements included in this update, although we're pretty sure the February patch will also arrive, well, “in February.” No fixes for specific bugs acknowledged by Samsung are in the works either, at least to our knowledge, while the latest widely reported display issue is unlikely to be caused by a software flaw and therefore impossible to fix via an OTA update.
In the meantime, it's probably too early to expect any optimization in battery life or overall performance, especially if the camera improvements in the works are as radical as they seem and as significant as many users hope.
